Privacy Policy

Roman Myth Library is built to collect as little information about you as possible. This page explains exactly what the site does store, and why.

What we don't do

Roman Myth Library has no user accounts, no server-side database of visitor activity, and — as of this version of the site — no advertising and no third-party analytics or ad-tracking scripts.

Favorites (browser local storage)

If you star an entry as a favorite in the Library, that choice is saved using your browser's localStorage — a storage area built into your browser, not a cookie. It stays only on your device, is never sent to our servers, and is not visible to us. Clearing your browser data, using a different browser or device, or browsing in a private window will remove or hide it.

The contact form

Our contact form is processed by a third-party form service (Formspree). When you submit it, your name, email address, and message are sent to that provider so we can receive and reply to it; we don't store this separately on our own server. See the form provider's own privacy policy for how they handle submitted data.

Server logs

Like virtually any website, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and reliability purposes. We do not use these logs for tracking or advertising.

Children's privacy

Roman Myth Library is a general-audience reference site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this site adds advertising or analytics in the future, this page will be updated first to describe exactly what's added and why. See also our Cookie Policy.
